Godspeed Little Sister

For my second mother, the kind, loving, gentle beautiful woman, Cindy. We love you and miss you so much already. As Daddy said, Godspeed.

I love this tree. There were so many in our back yard when we moved in, and most were mown over, but this one was saved. It was an experiment. Here it is today, front and center. It is evergreen and has a pleasing form. There are yellow fruit that I have heard are edible, but we haven't tried them yet.



It makes my dogwood, next to it, miserable in comparison.

Cold without Snow

There is something dreary about cold without snow. I know some parts of Florida got to see the white stuff fluttering around in the sky, but it wasn't us!

Just in case, we purchased snowpants. Yes - they do have snowpants down here. Usually on sale, because no one actually gets to use them!
